Hello, First Vote advocates!
We are starting to get some First Vote events, and I wanted to have you keep the dates open to help if you’d like. I’m sending out this reminder via email and will continue to keep you informed. However, we have great news: Volunteers are working to create a calendar at the League of Women Voters Wilco website at LWVwilco.org. That way, you will soon be able to see ALL the volunteer possibilities in one place, at all times.
It will be on the members-only area of the website, so I would encourage y’all who are not yet members to sign up. Of course, we still welcome and very much appreciate your volunteer aid even if you are not a member. But your membership fee helps us do more events and get more people informed and voting. As I mentioned at the First Vote training, if the membership fee is a problem for your budget, just email our president, Pam, to work something out. She’s at pammitchell.lwvwilcotx@gmail.com
FIRST VOTE and other VDR opportunities upcoming
The first First Vote event, at Meridian High School on Aug. 29, is fully staffed for volunteers, thanks!
Here are the dates for upcoming First Votes for you to note on your calendar. I’ll get the SignupGenius forms out as soon as I get details on exact times.
*Sept. 9 First Vote at Taylor High School, Signup will be out as soon as I hear from the teacher about time and details
Sept. 28-29 First Vote at McNeil High School; Signup out when I get final details
*Oct. 3 and 4 First Vote at Round Rock’s Early Start High School; one more slot to fill here:

*Another date to keep in mind is Oct. 11, the voter registration deadline day. We’ll have events at the ACC campuses and the community college in Hutto.
