LWV VDR Brenda Chlapek Registers on Square in Georgetown

LWV Wilco member Brenda Chlapek has been registering voters at the Georgetown square on Saturdays, and people love the convenience of registering or updating addresses and learning about Vote 411 while being out having fun. Yesterday, LWV members Mischia Farrer and Helen Cordes joined her, and Brenda helped a woman learn if she was registered by doing Vote411 with her--something she has done before.
Good tips from these VDRs: Along with giving out LWV bookmarks, voting stickers, and candy, have a basket of small dog treats to give out to the many people walking by with dogs! A real conversation-starter, along with the Future Voter stickers that kids love. This dog, Mojo, can't wait to vote--too bad he's only 2.
